That’s a hard no.

I like that phrase. Simple. Direct. Expresses exactly what I mean.

Sometimes it’s just no. No negotiation. No compromise. Just no.

Am I interested in someone buying my business?

Especially since I don’t own it.

Especially since I don’t know that person. He just appeared in my inbox.

That’s a hard no.

When you ask if I want some apple pie, that might not be a hard no. Just saying.

Somethings just have to be a no. It’s a no now. It’s a no tomorrow. It’s always a no.

That’s a hard no.
