Number of complaints received by the Louisiana Department of Insurance after Allstate cancelled homeowners insurance in four south Louisiana parishes following flawed home inspections. The cancellations affected 4,772 policyholders. Louisiana Commissioner of Insurance Jim Donelon has reached an agreement with Allstate, resulting in the reinstatement of some policies and the right for some to still obtain new coverage until Dec. 31, 2008.
