Rick Padula has been appointed president and chief operating officer of the Glover-Padula Insurance Agency in East Greenwich, R.I., which is one of Gencorp Insurance Group’s business units.
Robert Padula will remain as chairman and chief executive officer of Glover-Padula in addition to his role as president of Gencorp.
Rick Padula has been with Glover-Padula for over 25 years, most recently serving as executive vice president of the agency since 1998. He specializes in commercial lines insurance.
He will be the fifth president of Glover-Padula, which was founded in 1946 and was one of the two founding agencies of Gencorp Insurance Group, along with the Gallo-Thomas Agency, both located in East Greenwich. The Group now also includes The Portsmouth Agency and Bristol’s McCarthy & Associates on the East Bay, The Hanaway Agency in the Blackstone Valley, plus Pike Insurance in Wakefield.
In addition, the Gencorp Insurance Network provides back room services to other insurance agencies throughout the Northeast and the firm also includes the Gencorp Insurance & Financial Group that specializes in wealth management services.
