Delaware’s Department of Motor Vehicles says residents are being targeted by a phone scam.
The DMV says residents have been getting automated phone calls offering them savings on their car insurance.
WDEL-AM reports that the message claims the DMV gave permission for the caller to contact the resident.
The DMV is reminding Delawareans that it never shares residents’ personal information. Any claim of insurance savings that mentions the DMV should be considered a scam.
