The Vermont state auditor’s office will be doing an audit of the actions taken to fix the state’s troubled online health insurance marketplace.
Auditor Doug Hoffer sent a letter to state officials last week.
The state announced earlier this month that it was reducing ties to the contractor that helped design its website that remains flawed and short of being fully functional nearly a year after it was launched.
Lawrence Miller, chief of Vermont Health Care Reform, the department that oversees the law’s implementation in Vermont, said the state is working with a new company to continue development of the project.
Hoffer says the audit will likely be conducted in mid- to late September.
