Argo Pro, a Jersey City, N.J., based member of specialty insurance and reinsurance underwriter Argo Group International Holdings Ltd., has appointed Richard Edsall to serve as senior vice president of commercial management liability. In this role, Edsall will report to Craig Landi, president of Argo Pro.
Following his appointment, Edsall will be responsible for growing the nationwide commercial management liability business at Argo Pro, managing the commercial brokerage relationships for management liability and growing the cyber and privacy business with Argo’s management liability clients.
He brings more than 29 years of underwriting experience to his new role, joining Argo Group from Chubb & Son. While at Chubb & Son, he served as vice president and worldwide directors and officers liability product manager for its financial institutions and deputy U.S. commercial directors and officers products. Edsall also served as vice president and insurance industry product manager at Chubb & Son.
Prior to joining Chubb & Son in 2001, he served as senior vice president and chief underwriting officer at Global Specialty Risk.
