Ethos Specialty Insurance Services (Ethos), Ascot Group’s New York-based MGU platform, has appointed Rory Cline as president and CEO.
Cline takes the helm from his current role as chief underwriting officer, having joined Ethos Specialty at its inception in 2017. Prior to this, Cline served as president of Ascot Specialty U.S. – a position he held since 2009.
In a career that has spanned more than 35 years, he has held a number of senior management positions in both primary insurance and reinsurance including being the founding CEO of MGU, DirectFac, in 2004.
In his new role, Cline will report in to Jerry Tegan, who has recently taken on a wider Ascot Group role as executive chairman U.S.
