A man working in a ditch was seriously injured December 31 when it collapsed around his lower body, authorities said.
The accident occurred shortly before 10 a.m. in Marlboro Township.
The 64-year-old man, who was working for paving company, was trapped in the ditch for a short time before emergency responders were able to free him. He was taken to a hospital and was being treated for undisclosed injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
The injured man’s name was not released.
No other injuries were reported in the incident.
The cause of the collapse remains under investigation.
