The New Jersey Forest Fire Service said it has reached 100% containment of a 510-acre wildfire in the area of Jackson Rd. in Wharton State Forest.
The fire burned in both Waterford Twp, Camden County and Shamong Twp, Burlington County.
The service said the fire was fully contained as of 8:00 a.m. Thursday.
No injuries were reported and no structures were threatened by the wildfire., acvcording to offic ials.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The public is advised that smoke may be visible for an extended period while firefighters work to clean up the wildfire.
Forest Fire Service staff will continue to monitor control lines and address areas of concern until significant precipitation occurs to ensure public safety.
