Bermuda-based PartnerRe Ltd. announced that Jérôme Carré, currently Chief Risk Officer for PARIS RE, has been appointed as PartnerRe Group Risk Management Director, effective January 1, 2010.
He will report to CEO Patrick Thiele, and will be responsible for coordinating the Company’s risk management practices at the Group level, including aggregation and reporting risk exposure and facilitating execution of the Company’s risk management framework.
Carré brings with him 20 years of experience in the reinsurance industry. He has held various senior management positions, including Chief Actuary at AXA RE and Chief Risk Officer of PARIS RE since 2007. He has a diploma in Statistics from the University of Paris VI (France) and is a Fellow of the French Institute of Actuaries.
