Gallagher announced the appointment of James Anderson as group managing director of Rossborough Insurance – its personal and commercial lines broking business based in the Channel Islands and Isle of Man – subject to regulatory approval.
Anderson succeeds Clive de la Cour on Jan. 1, 2018. Having led the Jersey business for 10 years and the wider Rossborough Group for five, de la Cour will take on the new role of chairman of Rossborough in January, continuing to look after his clients.
Anderson brings more than 20 years’ UK insurance experience to his new role and joined Gallagher three years ago. He is currently managing director of Brand Partners, part of Gallagher’s UK Small Business & Personal Lines division, which develops and delivers tailored insurance schemes for affinity partners including banks, retail brands, trade associations and membership organizations.
Anderson’s promotion sees David Birch – currently sales director for Gallagher’s Banking Partnerships in the UK – step up to become managing director of Brand Partners. With his proven track record in developing strong, strategic affinity relationships, Birch will continue to lead the banking partnerships while expanding his role to grow the wider Brand Partners business.
