Lloyd’s managing agency Apollo Syndicate Management has appointed William Steeds as senior political risk underwriter for Syndicate 1969, effective immediately. He reports to Chris King, head of crisis management at Apollo.
Steeds joins Apollo with more than 20 years’ experience in the industry, having begun his career on the Lloyd’s Graduate Scheme in 1997. Prior to joining Apollo, he was a senior political risk underwriter at XL Catlin, where he built a large and market-leading book of business. Steeds holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in War Studies from King’s College London and is a member of Chatham House.
