Nationwide Insurance introduced its Customer Choice plan Tuesday in Indiana, Illinois and Texas, giving customers three ways to purchase auto insurance. Nationwide will give customers the option of buying auto policies through a local agent, via a toll-free telephone number or over the Internet.
Nationwide will integrate its Internet and toll-free sales initiatives with existing agent offices in other markets early next year and ultimately will offer all three customer access points nationally.
Nationwide Insurance, based in Columbus, Ohio, is the fourth-largest auto and homeowners insurer in the United States.
