Zurich Financial Services Group, a leading provider of insurance, financial and risk management solutions, announced that its Risk Engineering group has been recertified for ISO 9001, the internationally-recognized quality management systems certification administered by the International Organization for Standardization. ISO granted the recertification effective May 31, 2001.
To earn the ISO 9001 designation of quality, a company must meet 10 standards that demonstrate its ability to consistently deliver customer satisfaction. The Risk Engineering group, which initially earned ISO 9001 certification in 1998, was one of the first risk consulting organizations to receive the designation. It remains the only globally certified risk consulting group. All companies maintaining the ISO 9001 designation need to apply for recertification every three years.
Zurich’s Risk Engineering group is made up of a global network of more than 1,000 safety professionals located in 34 countries around the world. In North America, the Risk Engineering group is part of Zurich Services Corporation, a unit of Zurich North America.
