Mark Thompson was recently appointed to assistant vice president, Product Operations for Encompass Insurance, the independent insurance agency division of the Allstate Group recently announced.
Most recently Thompson served as assistant vice president of Product Operations, Non-Standard for Allstate Insurance. In that role, he sponsored the successful design and development of Allstate Blue, a non-standard auto product that serves drivers with a history of accidents or speeding tickets; owners of luxury, high-performance cars; and individuals with no insurance history.
Thompson joined Allstate in 1993 as a pricing analyst and held numerous actuarial roles until being named pricing director in 1999. He served as state manager for Allstate New Jersey from 2000-2005.
Thompson replaces Kelly Fogarty, 44, who will take on the role of Allstate assistant product vice president and Texas state manager.
More than 8,800 independent agencies sell Encompass, Allstate and Deerbrook-brand automobile, homeowner and related insurance products.
