North Dakota Insurance Commissioner Adam Hamm has been elected vice president of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners.
Hamm currently serves as secretary-treasurer of the group. He will assume his new duties at the start of the year.
The NAIC is a voluntary organization of the chief insurance regulators in the 50 states, the District of Columbia and the five U.S. territories.
The three other recently elected 2012 NAIC officers are: President Kevin M. McCarty, Florida Insurance Commissioner; President-Elect James J. Donelon, Louisiana Insurance Commissioner; and Secretary-Treasurer Monica J. Lindeen, Montana Commissioner of Securities and Insurance.
