Randy Adair, chief investigator for the Kansas Insurance Department’s Anti-Fraud Division, and a retired deputy chief of police for Topeka, is the recipient of the 2012 Clarence M. Kelley Meritorious Service Award from the Kansas/Western Missouri Chapter of the FBI National Academy Associates.
The award recognizes exemplary careers in law enforcement and is sponsored by the Clarence M. Kelley Group of Companies, an investigative and consulting firm co-founded by former FBI Director Kelley.
Adair is an active member of the Kansas City Metro Insurance Fraud Task Force, the Kansas and Missouri U.S. Attorney’s Health Fraud Working Groups, the National Insurance Crime Bureau Mini-Medical Task Force, Kansas Anti-Fraud Alliance, FBI National Academy Associates, and Kansas Peace Officers’ Association.
He began his career in 1976 at the Topeka Police Department, retiring in 2005 as deputy chief. He graduated from the 202nd session of the FBI National Academy in 2000 and served as the Kansas/Western Missouri Chapter president in 2010.
