Canada-based SCM Insurance Services has expanded into the United States by acquiring claims adjusting and investigations firm, Nixon & Company Inc., headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri.
Founded more than 40 years ago, Nixon has offices in St. Louis, Kansas City, and Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and Chicago, Illinois. In 1984, Nixon created Claim Management Inc., known as CMI/Nixon & Co.
SCM announced its intention to expand with the hiring of Scott Goodreau in 2016 as the company’s chief operating officer for the United States. Goodreau, an executive with 20 years’ experience in the industry, has held diverse leadership positions for distribution, carrier and technology companies.
SCM Insurance Services has been servicing the insurance and risk management community since 1986 with over 200 locations and 2,600 employees. Privately-owned SCM provides claims adjusting, third party adjusting (TPA), risk management, investigation, surveillance, risk mitigation, medical services, forensic engineering services, and risk intelligence.
