Iowa now has a new center for military veterans seeking to become insurance producers or adjusters to take licensing exams.
The Iowa Insurance Division announced that Pearson VUE, the third party contractor that conducts insurance producer licensing exams for the division, has added Camp Dodge in Johnston as a test center.
The new center opened in late October.
“We want service members and their families to have access to high quality, good paying jobs in the Iowa insurance industry,” Iowa Insurance Commissioner Doug Ommen said in the division’s announcement. “By providing testing facilities at Camp Dodge and at other military bases around the globe, Pearson VUE is doing a great service to those who are frequently relocated or are transitioning to a civilian career.”
Individuals wishing to obtain or maintain an insurance producer or public adjuster license in Iowa should visit iid.iowa.gov/regulated-individuals. To locate a Pearson VUE authorized testing center, visit home.pearsonvue.com/ia/insurance and click on “find a test center” or “find an on-base test center.”
In addition to Pearson VUE’s standard ID policies, individuals must have valid government ID and authorization to gain access to the military base test centers.
