Resilience, which provides insurance coverage and patented cybersecurity tools to protect mid-market companies, has added Kevin McGowan as vice president in its cyber underwriting unit.
McGowan joins Resilience from Beazley in Chicago where he served as co-chair of the carrier’s Global Cyber and Tech Large Risk Group – setting the underwriting strategy for their Cyber and E&O business. He was responsible for underwriting and managing the company’s most complex cyber risk placements in the US.
The company has also added cyber underwriter Mike Shannon as assistant vice president in Atlanta. Shannon joined Resilience from AXA XL.

Based in San Francisco, Resilience is backed by Lightspeed Venture Partners, Founders Fund, CRV, Intact Ventures, UL Ventures and John Thompson, chairman of Microsoft.
