W. R. Berkley Corporation appointed John S. Diem as the president of its subsidiary, Berkley Underwriting Partners, LLC, a management company that oversees managing general underwriter (MGU) program business.
Diem, 55, has more than 20 years of experience in the industry with various companies. Most recently he served as senior vice president of Kemper Alternative Risks from Dec. 1998 to March 2002, and prior to that he served as vice president of Travelers alternative risk marketing from Nov. 1992 to Dec. 1998.
