Hilb, Rogal and Hamilton Company announced that its board of directors has named Robert Lockhart as its president and chief operating officer, a position previously held by Martin Vaughan, III, who was appointed to the position of chairman and CEO effective May 6, 2003.
Lockhart joined HRH as vice president and director of the northeast region in 1999 when the company acquired American Phoenix Corporation, where he had served as president of the Connecticut operations. Prior to joining American Phoenix, he worked over 20 years at the world’s largest insurance broker where he held various executive positions, including responsibility for both domestic and international retail operations.
Hilb, Rogal and Hamilton Company has offices located throughout the United States, and assists clients in managing their risks in areas such as property and casualty, employee benefits and many other areas of specialized exposure.
