Victor O. Schinnerer and Company has launched EdChoice, an insurance program for small to mid-size colleges and universities.
The EdChoice policy, Trustees, Officers, Management and Employment
Liability, offers employment practices, E&O and management liability on one form. The policy covers faculty, officers, employees, volunteers, student interns and graduate teaching assistants for errors or omissions in the discharge of their duties to the insured educational institution.
Schinnerer’s target risks for the program include public and private
non-profit universities with enrollments up to 10,000.
Coverage is available on a non-admitted basis in Connecticut, Florida,
Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Vermont and Virginia.
The program will be underwritten by one of the CNA companies. Schinnerer will also team up with CNA to offer general liability and other related coverages for educational institutions.
