Munich Reinsurance America Inc. officially changed its name from American Re-Insurance Company effective Sept. 5, 2006. The name of the holding company, American Re Corporation, has changed to “Munich Re America Corporation.”
Munich Reinsurance America Inc., Munich Re’s largest reinsurance subsidiary, will continue to operate as a separate corporate entity in the U.S. market.
Munich-American RiskPartners will also use the Munich Reinsurance America name, and the division will be known as “Specialty Markets.”
The names of American Alternative Insurance Corporation (AAIC) and The Princeton Excess and Surplus Lines Insurance Company (PESLIC) will not change.
