Insurance Journal is polling insurance agents and brokers nationwide in its annual search to find out who’s worth what in the independent agency system.

All independent insurance agents and brokers are invited to participate in the 2011 . All individual survey responses and information will be kept strictly confidential, while the results will be published by Insurance Journal.
The survey provides important information on insurance agency compensation trends, and takes less than 10 minutes to complete.
In last year’s survey, half of all agencies reported that salaries stayed about the same in 2009 compared to 2008. Even so, 34 percent said salaries were lower in 2009 than in 2008, one reason why employee morale suffered at that time.
In 2009, most agencies (55 percent) reported staff sizes remained the same despite tough times, and owners expected that trend to continue throughout 2010.
