Preferred Concepts, LLC, a national insurance program administrator and specialty broker, has reorganized into three: Preferred Underwriting, Preferred Brokerage and Preferred Advantage. In addition, the firm will enhance its online agent/broker platform.
The company’s three new divisions work across the full spectrum of company offerings:
- Preferred Underwriting will house Preferred’s program business offerings that provide primary general liability, high limit umbrella liability and property policies tailored to real estate, hospitality and other industries. This division will also house SeaFire Insurance Services, which provides property & casualty program solutions specifically tailored to the needs of auto risks.
- Preferred Brokerage, formerly Mercator Risk Services, provides wholesale brokerage services for large property & casualty risks.
- Preferred Advantage organizes service by specialty, including professional liability for all risks (formerly Mercator Pro), and small business insurance products (formerly Mercator Select).
The online platform, ezumbrella.com (EZU), offers several new features including a premium indication and prequalification, a shortened application for qualified risks, and over 1,000 eligible NAICS codes.
The platform enables agents and brokers to quote, bind and issue customized umbrella liability insurance for risks in eight major industries: construction, hospitality, manufacturing, real estate, retail, restaurant, service, or wholesale. Each application produces multiple limit options.
