Arch Insurance Group has appointed Catherine Whiddon, regional vice president, as head of the company’s railroad casualty business unit. She will lead the underwriting of all commercial railroad liability, force account liability, railroad protective liability, scenic excursion liability, railroad general liability, contingent railcar liability, follow form excess liability and auto liability.
Whiddon joined Arch in December of 2008 as the regional vice president of railroads, responsible for the Central and Western regions of the business.
Prior to joining Arch, Whiddon enjoyed an eight-year career at Lexington Insurance Co. Prior to that, Whiddon worked at Marsh USA, Inc. for 11 years.
