Specialty underwriting manager Victor O. Schinnerer & Co.has made two senior appointments in its professional liability line.
Jill Tellez has joined the firm in the newly created position of senior vice president, Professional Liability leader. In this new role, Tellez is responsible for the oversight of all of Schinnerer’s professional liability programs, which include programs for real estate professionals, architects, engineers, construction consultants and general contractors.
Tellez joins Schinnerer with 32 years in the insurance industry. She has held various leadership positions with CNA and Hartford, both involving professional liability lines. She has also worked in brokerage operations at Aon. She will be based in Schinnerer’s Chevy Chase, Maryland, headquarters and report to John Wallace, chief underwriting officer.
In addition, longtime architects and engineers leader, Kevin Collins, has assumed a new role as senior vice president, Professional Liability. He will be responsible for business development, advancing professional liability underwriting, and the continued development of products including professional liability. He will continue to be based in Chevy Chase, Maryland and reports to Tellez.
