Brit Global Specialty USA has appointed Rich Hartman as senior vice president, Construction Professional.
Hartman brings 35 years of experience in the insurance industry. Most recently he spent more than six years at Arch Insurance Group, where he led the professional and environmental liability division for Design & Construction. Prior to Arch, he was with Zurich’s North American construction team. He has also worked in risk management consulting roles within the contracting and construction management sector.
The Hartman hiring follows last August’s appointment of Tom Bongi as executive vice president charged with establishing a Professional Lines offering for Brit Global Specialty USA. Bongi joined Brit from XL Catlin.
Based in New York office, Hartman will assume responsibility for building and developing a construction professional liability book of business. He will report to Bongi.
