Torrent Technologies, a Marsh company, has launched FloodPlus Commercial – a comprehensive private market primary flood insurance offering for agents of its Write Your Own (WYO) carrier clients.
Underwritten by Bermuda-based Hiscox through Johnson & Johnson, Inc., a Mount Pleasant, South Carolina-based managing general agent, FloodPlus Commercial provides up to $2.5 million in flood coverage for small commercial property owners’ building, building personal property (BPP), and business interruption risks.
FloodPlus Commercial is offered via Torrent’s technology platform, does not require elevation certificates, and is not subject to a 30-day waiting period, allowing insurance agents to quote, bind, and issue policies in real time.
Torrent uses an integrated platform where agents can quote National Flood Insurance Program policies via WYO carriers, along with a growing product offering of private primary and private excess flood policies on a single entry system.
Marsh is a wholly owned subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan Companies, a global professional services firm in the areas of risk, strategy and people.
