Gary Kitchen has been promoted to president, MGA Division, at Worldwide Facilities LLC, a national wholesale insurance broker, managing general agent and program underwriter.
Kitchen’s insurance industry career spans nearly three decades. He entered the insurance industry in Sacramento with Hoyt/Petersen & Company, a managing general agency. During his tenure, Kitchen helped establish the firm’s nationwide Moving and Storage program. In 1996, TransGuard Insurance Company purchased Hoyt/ Petersen. At TransGuard, Kitchen was responsible for a nationwide specialty program for Owner Operator Independent Truck Drivers. In 1999, he joined Fireman’s Fund Insurance Companies and in 2001 he joined RIC Insurance General Agency.

“The nature of the MGA business, specifically the underwriting of risk on behalf of insurance companies, lends itself to a regional strategy,” said Ron Austin, president of Worldwide Facilities. “As we continue to grow our geographic footprint by acquisition, it has become apparent that national leadership and coordination is the appropriate next step.”
Kitchen joined Worldwide Facilities as part of the RIC acquisition in 2018 and has continued to demonstrate management, leadership, team building and strategy building skills, Austin said.
Worldwide Facilities is a national wholesale insurance broker, managing general agent and program underwriter that has been in business since 1970.
