Florida-based SUNZ Insurance Co. is now licensed to write workers’ compensation policies in 13 additional states: Colorado, Hawaii, Iowa, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
With the addition of these states, SUNZ Insurance is now licensed to write workers’ comp in 29 states while it continues to offer the coverage in all 50 states through its fronting partnership. This company said the latest expansion marks the next step in its strategic growth.
The organization employs more than 350 individuals across the country, including its headquarters in downtown Bradenton. The company continues to expand as it gains additional state licenses and fosters its new relationship with the Blackstone Group.
Since 2005, SUNZ Insurance has worked with professional employer organizations (PEOs), staffing agencies and large companies to develop workers’ compensation plans tailored to clients’ needs and geographic requirements.
Parent company SUNZ Holdings includes several affiliates that provide ancillary services to the workers compensation insurance industry, including Next Level Administrators, WatchPoint, Avalon Subrogation Partners, and Ascential Care Partners.
