Dr. Bob Hartwig, president of the Insurance Information Institute will share his thoughts on the state of the insurance industry and Adrian Lund, president of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, will explain the effectiveness of crash tests in promoting vehicle safety. Both join Texas Democratic gubernatorial candidate Tom Schieffer as featured speakers at the Insurance Council of Texas’ (ICT’s) Mid-Year Property and Casualty Insurance Symposium on July 23.
Schieffer, who served as U.S. ambassador to Australia and Japan, as well as part owner and president of the Texas Rangers baseball team, will be the luncheon speaker at the event.
Austin attorney Jay Thompson will report on the Texas Legislature and an afternoon panel discussion led by ICT executive director Rick Gentry will include Union Standard president Craig Sparks, USAA’s assistant VP of government relations Bo Gilbert and PCI southwest regional manager Joe Woods.
