Arkansas Forestry Commission crews have contained a wildfire that burned 1.5 square miles in Perry County.
Officials say another fire in Clark County burned between 300 and 400 acres.
Commission spokeswoman Sheila Doughty said on Aug. 14 that firefighters cut a line around the blaze, which burned one home before it could be brought under control.
Doughty says the fire will likely keep burning for several days and weather conditions could enable the fire to leap beyond the containment lines. She says crews are monitoring the fire.
Between 50 and 100 homes in Casa, Homewood and Rose Creek were evacuated.
The forestry commission also helped extinguish a fire near Gurdon in Clark County that forced some evacuations. Residents have been allowed to return.
There were no reports of injuries or structural damage.
