A judge has awarded the payout of trucking magnate Bill Hall Jr.’s life insurance policy to Hall’s widow, who’s charged with murdering her husband.
Bexar County Probate Judge Tom Rickhoff has ordered that Frances A. Hall receive about $310,000 from the policy. The San Antonio Express-News reports Rickhoff’s decision came after the Halls’ two adult children said they wanted their mother to receive the benefits.
Frances Hall was charged with murder after her husband died in the crash of his motorcycle on Loop 1604 in San Antonio, near his Bill Hall Jr. Trucking offices. Police said the 51-year-old chased her 50-year-old husband in a sport utility vehicle and ran him off the road after learning that he was seeing another woman. She’s also accused of ramming the girlfriend’s SUV.
