Hub International Limited (Hub), a global insurance brokerage, has acquired the assets of Cooper, Simms, Nelson & Mosley (Cooper Simms), based in Winter Park, Fla. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Cooper Simms is a full service firm with expertise in commercial lines, personal lines, and employee benefits, servicing the Central Florida region. The Cooper Simms operations will become part of Hub International Florida, (Hub Florida) a division of Hub International Southeast.
Cooper Simms has served the Central Florida community since it opened in 1934. The firm provides personal lines insurance and risk management services for high net worth individuals. Steve Simms, Bobby Simms and Rick Havron, shareholders of Cooper Simms, will join the Hub Florida senior management team as executive vice presidents and will report to Chris Gardner, CEO of Hub Florida, and work closely with Jack Kuykendall, chairman of Hub Florida.
