Firefighters rescued four adults and an infant from a burning apartment complex in east Charlotte, N.C., that officials believe was intentionally set.
News outlets report that 21-year-old Shontavia Gingles is accused of setting fire to her apartment Monday morning. She has been arrested and charged with first-degree arson.
The Charlotte Fire Department says the flames caused $100,000 in losses and displaced 18 adults and four children.
The Red Cross is helping the displaced residents.
