WRM Group, formed just over a year ago with the merger of two of Alabama’s oldest insurance agencies, has now joined Higginbotham, one of the largest agency groups in the Southeast.
Terms and details of the partnership were not released. Higginbotham, headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, has continued its growth in recent years through acquisitions. It is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, the company said in a press release.
WRM, which stands for Where Relationships Matter, was founded in 2022 when Byars/Wright Insurance, in Birmingham, and Pritchett-Moore Insurance of Tuscaloosa merged. Both firms were more than 75 years old and have offices around the state.
This year, WRM expanded with the acquisition of Flowers Insurance Agency, with offices in southeast Alabama.
The deal with Higginbotham will allow WRM to maintain local relationships while accessing new services and support, company officials said.
