Higginbotham, an independent insurance and human resources firm based in Texas, has joined forces with Fitts Agency in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, further expanding Higginbotham’s presence in the state.
Fitts CEO Forrest Fitts said the partnership is a good fit for both firms. The Alabama agency was founded almost 150 years ago by J.H. Fitts and is considered one of the largest independently owned agencies in western Alabama.
Higginbotham has headquarters in Fort Worth, Texas, and has operations around the country. The firm acquired another large Alabama agency, WRM Group, in 2023.
