Pine Street Management Company, a unit of Swett & Crawford Group Inc., promoted founding underwriter Luis Roman from president to chairman and named insurance industry veteran William Morris as president.
Roman, who joined Pine Street at its founding in 1995, has 19 years of industry experience. He has specialized in directors and officers liability insurance throughout his career.
Morris comes to Pine Street from Zurich U.S. Insurance Co. in New York. With an insurance career that dates back to 1981, he specializes in D&O coverage in underwriting, marketing and management positions for leading carriers and managing general underwriters.
Licensed in 50 states and Washington, D.C., Pine Street specializes in coverage for hard-to-place D&O risks, including start-up companies, Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganizations, initial public offerings, medical products firms, mergers and acquisitions, and companies with new or restructured boards. Coverage is issued through an A.M. Best “A” rated carrier.
