Yates and Associates has announced the hiring of two new employees in its property and casualty underwriting department: Laura Ruetz, ASLI, AU, and Sheila Webb.
Both will be responsible for new business development.
The Tustin, Calif.-based firm said Ruetz has been in the insurance business for 11 years, most recently as a commercial business underwriter for the past 5 years.
She is a cat lover and works with the Humane Society of the United States.
Webb has worked in the business since 1971. She has been a commercial department manager and a western regional coordinator, among other things.
She has 13 grandchildren, so she says she finds it easy to keep busy when not working.
