The Los Angeles Chapter of the CPCU Society has named Gerald J. Sullivan its Rie R. Sharp Insurance Person of the Year Award winner.
According to the society, the award recognizes “an individual who has set a notewrothy example of personal and professional conduct and whose accomplishments place this individual apart in the insurance industry.”
“Jerry has been a staunch supporter of CPCU and the insurance industry for many years,” the chapter said in its newsletter.
Sullivan is chairman of The Sullivan Group, a brokerage providing excess and surplus lines, commercial lines, professional liability, and reinsurance, among other services.
Sullivan has an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania and has always worked in the insurance industry. He also served five years in the U.S. Air Force.
