Twenty Oregon legislators want to relax the state’s motorcycle helmet law, so only drivers younger than 21 would be required to wear a helmet.
sponsor Rep. Andy Olson, R, believes relaxing the helmet requirements would actually allow riders to hear better and see more while on the road.
The measure is headed to the House Transportation and Economic Development Committee.
Currently, Oregon requires a helmet for everyone on a motorcycle.
