NORCAL Mutual Insurance Company is now offering medical professional liability insurance to physicians and health care professionals in Arizona. This is the twelfth state to come under the parent company’s umbrella as part of NORCAL Mutual’s national expansion plan, which includes the introduction of a new enhanced policy, and the transition of policyholders from Medicus Insurance Company.
According to NORCAL Mutual’s Chief Business Development Officer Ron Rumin, the company has been serving the Arizona market since 2008 as Medicus.
NORCAL Mutual continually reviews the coverages offered to medical practices. This new policy being implemented with each new market entry includes enhancements to the cyber liability and administrative defense coverages, as well as additional available premium credits and expanded billing options.
NORCAL Mutual is a policyholder-owned and physician-directed medical professional liability company. Its subsidiary companies include PMSLIC Insurance Company and Medicus Insurance Company.
